He felt that parents and teachers had totally given up for them, the child was a liability, and school a time pass. He has decided to dedicate his life to the cause of disabled. He was determined to help them lead a dignified life and address the challenges faced by people living with disabilities in order to improve their well being and end the isolation and disconnectedness of persons with disabilities and their families.

GWOA was started by a group of like-minded persons from the deprived sections to strive for their rights of the suffering marginalised groups and communities such as children in especially difficult circumstances, women in distress, small and marginal farmers, dalits, and the persons with disabilities (PWDs). Since 2008, it has been taking countless efforts to empower them and remedy the situation through various programmes. Creating awareness among the marginalized about their rights, providing opportunities to the aspiring youth from the marginalized communities and the youth with disabilities to improve their income-earning skills, linking the persons with disabilities with the resource systems and to alleviate the plight of the physically challenged and other vulnerable persons.
GWOA is a purely secular, non-religious, non-governmental, non-political, non-sectarian, non-regional institution, for helping the physically challenged, particularly the financially weak and under-privileged. The organization is working among and for the empowerment of the marginalized groups and communities such as children, women, dalits and the people with disabilities.
